The Priority Research Area Society of the Future implements the policy of supporting the advancement of students as action no 14, Talent Management, under the Strategic Programme Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University, in the research domains included in the strategy of PRA FutureSoc.

Applicants shall be:

• third-year students of a first-cycle programme at the JU, or
• first- or second-year student of a second-cycle programme at the JU, or
• at least third-year students of an integrated master's programme at the JU -

who have not repeated a year and whose grades’ weighted arithmetic mean from the previous academic year is no lower than 4.0.

Under the call, two categories of projects may be submitted:

• individual projects - maximum funding: 10 000 PLN;
• team projects - maximum funding: 20 000 PLN.

The application form is open from January 26, 2021, to February 15, 2021, at https://strefaid.uj.edu.pl/.

Applicants select one of five subject areas relevant to the topic of their application:

Subject areas:

• "Law and the challenges of the present, modernity, and future" – financial envelope: 90 000 PLN.
• "Challenges of sensitivity, resilience, adaptation and sustainable development of regions" – financial envelope: 70 000 PLN.
• "World in turbulent times – challenges for politics and security" – financial envelope: 120 000 PLN.
• "Organisation in a changing world" – financial envelope: 70 000 PLN.
• "Social (r)Evolutions: beyond the horizon of the present"– financial envelope: 70 000 PLN.

The financial envelope in the first edition amounts to 420 000 PLN.

The results will be announced as soon as possible at futuresoc.id.uj.edu.pl, no later than on March 30, 2021.
