Seminar discussion "Is Kraków welcoming for international students? "

Dear Students,
 
As a part of the ongoing project "European Cities in the Process of Constructing a Cultural Heritage", we invite you to join us to discuss your experience living in Kraków.
 
  • What are the strengths/weaknesses of the city?

Dr. Karolina Czerska-Shaw is currently a researcher in a H2020 project entitled “EU Differentiation, Dominance and Democracy.” Her research interests include civic education and citizenship testing schemes, the integration of migrants, migration, transnationalism and international student mobility, national identity, and challenges to multiculturalism.
 
Dr. Grzegorz Pożarlik is a senior lecturer and former deputy director of the Jagiellonian University Institute of European Studies. His research focuses on international security in the Post-Cold War era, civil society and the public sphere in Europe, symbolic construction of identity in the context of the EU enlargement. His recent publications focus on the problem of dilemmas of collective identity construction in an enlarging EU as well as global asymmetry as a background for the emergence of the Post-Westphalian paradigm in international relations with special emphasis given to the role of the EU as a global normative power.
 
Dr. Elżbieta Mach is a Team Leader for the “European Cities in the Process of Constructing a Cultural Heritage” project. Her research interests include European education, European citizenship and current socio-cultural processes seen in the perspective of educational change.
