We cordially invite you to participate in the conference entitled "German Reunification. Perspectives from Poland", which is organized as part of the "rEUnify: Realities and Legacies after 30 years of German reunification" project financed from EU funds.
The project is about the memory of the reunification of Germany. Its leader is the College of Eastern Europe, and one of the partners is Instytut Studiów Europejskich UJ, represented by dr hab. Kinga Anna Gajda.
The aim of the seminar, which will be held on April 28, is to focus on the social dimension of reunification and present it from the so-called human perspective. The panellists will focus on the issue of migration that took place between Poland and Germany (before, during and after unification).
The seminar intends to restore the memory of these processes from the point of view of their direct participants and to support these memories with academic reflection. Dr Maciej Stępka will deliver an introductory lecture to one of the panels.
The last point of the seminar will be a presentation of the progress of work on the science poster prepared by the students of IES and participants of the cultural studies section of the Krakow Youth Society of Friends of Arts and Sciences under the patronage of the Jagiellonian University.
We encourage everyone to participate!
