The amplifier effect combines social media, online fake users and well-known media outlets to spread disinformation.
This effect plays an important role in elections, like it did during the Swedish elections in 2018 and 2022 by spreading false and misleading information about migrant communities in Sweden.
It is important to be aware of disinformation, specially in electoral process.
