Join us for the “(Non)Commemoration of the Heritage of Central and Eastern Europe” - a Student-Doctoral Conference at the Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University, Kraków on January 12, 2024.
Heritage isn't just a subject of study anymore; it's a live issue shaping our world. It's about reclaiming voices, challenging the past, and shaping the future. This conference is about the complexities of heritage, its political dimensions, and its role in reshaping narratives.
We will be exploring vital questions:
- What sets Central and Eastern Europe apart in heritage issues?
- How does heritage redefine history from minority perspectives?
- The misuse of heritage in shaping ideologies and politics.

This will be a hybrid event - join in person at the Institute of European Studies UJ in Kraków or online.
