Dr Marta Warat
Marta Warat - PhD, earned her degree in sociology at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University (MA 2005) and in European studies at the Centre for European Studies of Exeter University. Her PhD thesis (2011) focused on citizenship and its various forms among Muslim women in Britain. From 2006 onwards she has been a researcher at the Institute of Sociology and she was appointed a Post Doctoral Researcher in Gender equality and quality of life - how gender equality can contribute to development in Europe. A study of Poland and Norway project.
Her scientific interests inclure citizenship and democracy and gender studies.
Coordinator of the educational and scientific project Research and Expertise in Society supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants and co-financed by the Polish funds run by the Centre for European Studies.
