Agnieszka Sadecka is a researcher and lecturer at the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in the area of cultural and literary studies. She has graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate programme „Cultural Studies in Literary Interzones” in 2016, receiving her doctoral degree from Eberhard Karls Universitaet Tuebingen in Tuebingen, Germany and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, India.
Since obtaining her doctoral degree, she has been involved in the coordination of international programmes at the Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University, she has also participated in a successful preparation of two Horizon2020 grant applications, MSCA Innovative Training Network: “FATIGUE - Delayed Transformational Fatigue in Central and Eastern Europe” (2018-2021), and Research and Innovation Action: “POPREBEL - Populist rebellion against modernity in 21st-century Eastern Europe: neo-traditionalism and neofeudalism” (2019-2021).
She is currently a researcher in the latter research project. Her research revolves around 20th and 21st century Polish culture, literature and heritage, post-socialist cultures of Central and Eastern Europe, postcolonial / post-dependency studies, identity, socio-cultural dimensions of populism and nationalism.
