About

Marcin Marcinko is a PhD holder (in law) specializing in public international law, particularly in international humanitarian law. He is an associate professor at the Chair of Public International Law, Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University, and a coordinator of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Centre, Jagiellonian University. He is a chairman of the National Commission for Dissemination of International Humanitarian Law at the Polish Red Cross Main Board, member of the International Law Association – Polish Group, the International Association of Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP), and the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S). His research interests include contemporary armed conflicts, international security (including the threat posed by terrorism), international and regional engagement in peace-keeping and peace-enforcement operations, cooperation among the NATO Member States concerning peace-support operations, and international criminal law.
