» ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent
Secondary school diploma, maturity certificate, International Baccalaureate diploma (IB) or European Baccalaureate certificate.
2. Certificate of English-language proficiency
Students whose first language is not English are required to prove their English language proficiency with a recognised certificate documenting command of the English language on a level specified by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This does not apply to English native speakers, graduates of study programmes where the language of instruction was English.
LIST OF CERTIFICATES APPROVED BY THE JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY
Candidates who do not posses language certificate at the stage of submitting the application may request an interview which will verify the level of competency in the English language. The interview is passed successfully upon earning at least 60% of total points out of 100% and will fulfill requirement for English profficiency.
Proficiency in the Polish language is not required.
» APPLICATION STEP BY STEP
STEP I
- Submit Online Application (via University Online Application System)
BY E-MAIL:
As a part of your application please submit the following documents via e-mail at ces.office@uj.edu.pl:
- Scanned online application signed by the applicant;
- Scan of the secondary school diploma, maturity certificate, International Baccalaureate diploma (IB) or European Baccalaureate certificate;*
- Scan of document certifying English language proficiency (please refer to Eligibility Requirements section)
- scanned certified translation into English or Polish of all documents issued in a language other than English or Polish.
*documents obtained outside of Poland, other than IB diploma and EB ecrtificate, are required to be authenticated with apostille or legalised;
REGISTRATION FEE:
20.00 EUR/22 USD/85.00 PLN (non-refundable)
Registration fee is paid via BANK TRANSFER. Bank transfer details applicant can access at OAS account.
STEP II
Documents required upon enrolement
If application is successful you will receive a notification of acceptance in OAS system as well as official e-mail informing about further steps.
- Hardcopy of the application, printed and signed by the candidate;
- Photocopy of the applicant's secondary school diploma, maturity certificate, International Baccalaureate diploma (IB) or European Baccalaureate certificate (with its original available upon request);
- One passport photos (35 mm x 45 mm) taken against a white background without a hat or head covering (These cannot be printed photos or xeroxed copies of photos);
- Certificate verifying language proficiency (if applicable);
- Sworn translation into English or Polish of all documents submitted if they were issued in a language other than English or Polish;
- Documents obtained outside of Poland, other than IB diploma and EB ecrtificate, are required to be authenticated with apostille or legalised;
- declarationof submission of original copies of all documents required upon enrolment by no later than 29 September 2019 - under a condition of withdrawal from the university otherwise.
Candidates holding secondary qualification obtained abroad of Poland, other than International Baccalaureate diploma or European Baccalaureate certificate, excluding certificates obtained in member states of the UE, OECD, EFTA and certificates recognized on the basis of international agreements are required to submit additionally the following documents: decision on recognition of the document issued abroad, confirming holder's right to apply for study programmes in higher education institutions in the Republic of Poland, issued by the appropriate education authority (kurator oświaty), or candidate's written declaration to deliver the decision by no later than 25 September 2019.
STEP III
Documents required upon arrival
- Original the secondary school diploma, maturity certificate;
- Photocopy of an insurance policy or the European Health Insurance Card held by the student in case of sickness or emergency;
- Passport.
